My Friends' Norwegian Trip

Last summer some of my close family friends went on a trip around Norway, which is beautiful by the way. They seemed impressed by the high mountains which sloped into the crystal clear water. Although it was cold, they even managed to go swimming with small sharks. They spent seven days trekking allover Norway on their way to Sweden. Towards the end, they were hiking up to a hotel/village they were going to stay in. As they reached the top of the mountain, they looked at their camp ground. They were disappointed find it had burnt down the night before, and only bits of stubble and ash remained.

Chocolates

Why are they so good!
So I love the types of chocolates that melt in your mouth and taste like truffles, they are the best types of chocolate on earth. And sorry to all the dark chocolate lovers out there, milk chocolate is my favorite.
First of all, Toblerone chocolate bars/pyramids are pretty amazing. I don't know what those little chewy things are, but they aren't disgusting and don't take away from the delicious chocolate.
I also just tried these new chocolates from Trader Joe's that taste like truffles in the shape of chocolate.

WORTH THE MONEY
-find the name of it, or just try every chocolate at Trader Joe's, I don't think you'll mind as long as you love chocolate-

Cinnamon and Honey

So I had heard that a certain mix of cinnamon and honey can cause weight loss... but I had the hardest time finding an actual blog that told people about their results, so here you go:

I tried this mixture for about three weeks, and it sadly didn't work (sadness)

However, if you would still like to try the cinnamon and honey drink, it doesn't taste to bad.

My Doggy

I really love my puppy, I couldn't imagine the past three years without her in it <3

After taking her for a walk today I was playing with her in the backyard. Since it's winter and I live up north, there is tons of snow. Today I was throwing snow up in the air for her to catch (adorbs). If she didn't catch it she would try to dig for it in the snow, which she was never successful at (ironic right?)

My Drunk (Hobo) Neighbor

So he is not really a hobo, but his house is literally a raised shack behind some other beautiful newly remodeled house. Note: He has an outhouse, not just any old outhouse, one filled with doll heads (creepy? no!)

We call him Bob the hobo. If you are lucky, you'll see him out on the park bench sipping what appears to be coffee, but what is actually beer.

Some how he must have inherited a lot of money, cause he can afford to go shopping at Whole Foods, and doesn't appear to have any job. He sometimes has another (hobo) friend who visits him on his rainbow bike. This guy has long dreadlocks and collects cans.

Typical interaction with him:
-while walking back form the beach
"Did you see any alligators?" -sitting drinking beer

He once tried to convince us that it is a terrible thing for children to wear helmets, and that they don't have any benefits.

His property:
-Freaky Outhouse
-fake flowers
-sticks with years on them (2011, 2012, 2013...)
-a violin hung up in a tree
-red elevated shack

What a strange guy... haha

Social Pressure

I know there are tons of different types of social pressures out there {with the most common being to become popular?} but what's to be done with this one.

Trust me, it's a very uncommon one (unless said person lives in a said country where it is very stereotypical to have this social pressure placed upon you):
-Having to get 100% on everything in order to keep your reputation up (as it might be the only one you have)

I have to say that this pressure isn't so typical, but man, it can definitely drive some people to their graves...

What Should I Be When I Grow Up?

I guess most my options are narrowed down by the compelling factor of earning money.*

I think there are so many cool jobs out there, but I know that there are also many jobs that I don't even know about. This brings me to my point about how high school sucks at "giving you a broad horizon"/more job options.

Jobs I would consider (in no particular order):

  • Chef (I truly believe that food is art which you can enjoy with every single one of your senses)
  • Artist (A little risky)
  • A movie star (just kidding, not that adventurous)
  • Intestines Doctor (my friend's dad makes mucho dinero off of this job)
  • Designer (work it work it)

*"Do what you enjoy, not what will earn you the most money." -Thanks Mom

Soccer Coaches

When you're coach can ruin and make your day:
-yelling at you for messing up
-using you as an example
-not helping you out when you're obviously struggling

~when he comes up with random crap ["Boys are better than girls because Sam was on the earth first before Jane. Boys can also tell time"]
~when he messes up on the drill he is trying to teach us
~him giving you a compliment when you finally did something right

(don't judge my coach about his Adam and Eve reference... he's a nice guy! For the most part ;) )

Guys

When a boy just can't make up his mind over who he likes, while you're over here wondering when it will finally be your chance...

To Take Track or Not to Take Track!?!

This is seriously such a hard question right now! Obviously I want to stay in shape and learn how to run more efficiently, but I honestly don't believe there would be any time for it. Out of the six days there would be track, I wouldn't be able to attend at least three of them every week. I would miss even more as the soccer season rolls around, what am I to do! -_-
